THE STORY

Peregrina started because too many “luxury” trips still require one person to do all the thinking.
 

That person becomes the organiser, the researcher, the decision-maker, the chaser, the fixer. They hold everyone’s preferences in their head, make the calls early, prevent the avoidable disasters, and keep the whole thing moving so the rest of the group can arrive and enjoy it. In our experience, that role has often landed on women. We found that when women plan travel, they bring a particular standard. They anticipate, they edit, they remember. They protect the pace of the trip and the comfort of the people on it. They do not just book - they architect. Peregrina was originally founded to meet the standard those women were already setting, and to give them the rare pleasure of travelling without also running the trip themselves.

The original mission was simple: to create trips that women could finally enjoy, not simply direct from behind the curtain. And while that strongly feminist starting point remains (we are female-founded and female-led, after all ), the work has grown well beyond it.

Since 2024, the work has expanded into a higher calibre of travel design.  As a founder-led private travel consultancy, we create genuinely tailored itineraries with continuity and discretion. Principals come to us for trips that need judgement and originality rather than a template. Executive assistants and family offices come to us for travel support because designing trips is not their job, and because fragmented planning wastes valuable time.

We work from the brief, not a fixed or automated pipeline. We do not steer clients into house favourites or a narrow set of preferred options. We source with range and intention, whether that means a villa in Tuscany through a direct relationship, a family farm in Ireland with privacy and space, or a London suite chosen for history and service. The point is fit, not flash.

We do a lot of the work the old fashioned way, on purpose. We work through people, not portals. We work directly with owners, managers, hoteliers, guides, and operators, and we build journeys through these relationships. More than an "aesthetic" preference, it's a choice we make to be able to offer access places with character, history, and integrity. Our relationships are built on clear communication, reliability, and clean delivery, which gives Peregrina clients a very practical advantage: better information, better coordination, and an experience that is even better than it was on the itinerary.  In a world where travel plans can be generated in seconds, we prioritise judgement, relationships, and follow-through, because that is what produces travel that is actually excellent

Peregrina provides end-to-end travel consulting with discreet, high-touch support from first enquiry to return. That includes research and itinerary design, sourcing and bookings, documentation, supplier coordination, and calm intervention if plans shift mid-trip. It also includes the debrief afterwards, because preferences and lessons learned should compound over time, not vanish between journeys.

About The Founder

Caitlin Grace

Originally from California, Caitlin has spent most of her life living and working internationally, including a decade split between Italy and England. Her approach is shaped by that range: cross-cultural insight, sharp logistical instinct, and the ability to adapt quickly and quietly when expectations change. She works with HNW families, principals, family offices, and senior executives, offering a level of continuity and judgment that most traditional agencies cannot match.

What led Caitlin to found Peregrina was a simple, recurring observation: wherever she looked - across industries, families, or destinations - the work of travel planning always seemed to settle on the same shoulders. Almost invariably, they were a woman’s. She was expected to anticipate every detail, absorb every logistical hiccup, and adjust seamlessly on the fly, usually without acknowledgment.​

When Peregrina says it offers "women-centered travel consulting", it is not describing wellness retreats, self-care clichés, or pastel-colored branding. It means something far more concrete: competence, foresight, and an uncompromising attention to detail.

Some say it’s radical to be women-led. We say: when was the last time you carried the passports?
