THE STORY

In a world where travel plans can be generated in seconds, we prioritise judgement, relationships, and follow-through, because we believe that is what produces truly exceptional travel.
Peregrina was founded in 2025 with a specific client in mind: women who had given up on travel agencies entirely and were planning their own trips because no company had yet given them a reason not to. They'd used a big agency, received something generic, felt vaguely ripped off, and either started planning themselves or just stopped taking the kind of trips they really wanted. The client at the end of the pipeline was paying for the overhead as much as the travel itself, and the level of detail they required was something larger agencies simply couldn't match.
Peregrina decided that was unacceptable and has deliberately taken the opposite approach. We believe in small businesses, in boutique hotels with personality, in family-owned operations and women-led companies, and that is exactly who we work with. Travel is fundamentally human, and we think the people behind it should be, too.
Every client works with one person from the first enquiry to the last detail, and that person is responsible for all of it. The briefs that come to Peregrina now range from weekend escapes to multigenerational family trips, from Americans reconnecting with their European heritage to family offices whose principals want to see more of the world.
We do a lot of the work the old fashioned way, on purpose. We work through people, not portals. We work directly with owners, managers, hoteliers, guides, and operators, and we build journeys through these relationships. More than an "aesthetic" preference, it's a choice we make to be able to offer access places with character, history, and integrity. Our relationships are built on clear communication, reliability, and clean delivery, which gives Peregrina clients a very practical advantage: better information, better coordination, and an experience that is even better on the ground than it was on the itinerary. In a world where travel plans can be generated in seconds, we prioritise judgement, relationships, and follow-through, because that is what produces excellent travel.

We started by exceeding women's standards. We now apply that same standard to every brief.

About The Founder
Caitlin Grace
Caitlin Grace is originally from California (wine country specifically, which probably explains both her European affinity and her strong opinions about what goes in the glass) and has spent the last decade living between Rome and England. Being American by background and European by a decade of lived experience means she understands both sides unusually well: what American clients are actually looking for, and how to navigate the European landscape from the inside.
A significant part of what Peregrina does involves helping American clients reconnect with their European heritage - Italian, Irish, Scottish. This is work that means something to Caitlin personally: her own grandparents were immigrants to America, and she understands what it means to find your way back.

Before Peregrina, Caitlin spent years working closely with private families, then moved into high-end travel with high-net-worth clients, eventually as chief of operations. She takes the view that no brief is too specific and no request too obscure - whether it is measuring a field in paces for a helicopter to land or finding the best pub in a village for clients who want authenticity.

She enjoys all things equestrian and will readily admit she is far more comfortable in a western saddle than an English one (but yes, that is Caitlin on the homepage). Currently based in Cambridge, she's known to regularly pull on her wellies and stomp through fields in search of a good Sunday lunch and a bit of sun.
